The Overture

A café tuned like an instrument.

An octave is the distance between one note and the next of the same name — the whole range of music held between two points. That's how we think about coffee: from the first bright sip of a pour over to the last low, chocolatey note of a mocha, we want you to taste all of it.

We're a new corner of Yaletown — white tile, warm wood, mint benches and a very opinionated cat on the wall. Bright and hype when you need it, cozy and quiet when you don't. Outlets for the study sessions. A stage for the songwriters. Water bowls for the good boys.

Drinks. Bites. Music. — that's the whole setlist.

Live at Octave

Real songs, real close.

Some cafés play a playlist. We plug in a mic. On session days a local artist sets up between the plants and the espresso machine, and the whole room leans in a little.

No tickets, no cover — just order your latte, find a mint bench, and let somebody's new song be the best thing you didn't plan today. Follow @octavecafe for the lineup.
